PLAY-IN-A-DAY

Chorus Theatre run the Play-in-a-Day project once every four months in February, June and October. 

Play-in-a-Day is aimed at anyone aged 14+ with an interest in creating theatre. The day begins with a short introduction to devising theatre before moving on to the practical work to create a new play. A performance of the devised play takes place in the evening to an invited audience of family and friends. 

Our previous Play-in-a-Day productions are Hotel Z, The Eight Songs of Us, Tristan and Isolde, Eleven Fifty-Five, The Curiosities, Ghost Tales, The Murder of Gonzago, The Hollowstone, Solitaire, #StillLife, The Desolation of Silas Crook, The Gathering, Room 438, Quiz Night at the Oasis, This is the End?, Troy Story, Don’t Turn Out The Light64 Pepper Street, The Masque of the Red DeathA Funny Thing Happened, Being Frank and Dead Centre.

During the lockdown in 2020 and 2021 we created four online Play-in-a-Day performances using Zoom. These four plays Continuity Errors, Cloak and Dagger, The Daisy Chain and The Fairytale of Wessenbrilde are available on our Facebook and YouTube pages.
